Technology and equipment for applying protective coatings by thermal spraying

The proposed technologies and equipment make it possible to create protective coatings on parts in order to increase wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and to protect against erosion, cavitation and thermal influences.

Equipment for plasma spraying:

  • particle size of the powder - 30-200 microns;
  • spraying productivity - up to 4 kg / h;
  • coef. of powder utilization  - 0,95.

Installation of gas-flame spraying TRU-BPI:

  • particle size of the powder - 30-150 microns;
  • spraying productivity - up to 6 kg / h;
  • coef. of powder utilization - 0.8.

The technology of thermal spraying (plasma and flame spraying) provides the ability to create coatings from a wide range of powder materials. It is possible to spray metal, ceramic, clad, composite and polymeric materials, as well as materials with an exothermic effect. The wear resistance of parts, as a rule, increases by 3-5 times in comparison with serial ones.

The proposed technologies and equipment by increasing wear resistance and corrosion resistance can increase the overhaul time of a wide range of components and parts by 2–3 times and significantly reduce repair costs. The offered equipment and technologies correspond to the scientific and technical level of such countries as the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Japan.
