The work of a school psychologist includes assessment of factors influencing child development (testing, observation, interviewing, analysis of assessment results, conceptualisation of the problem), counselling, consultation, cooperation with parents and other specialists, conducting thematic lectures for pupils. According to his/her qualifications, the school psychologist may conduct training courses for Narva Central City School staff and parents.

Master's degree or equivalent qualification (Basic School and Secondary School Act § 74¹) and compliance with the requirements for the mastery of the official language (Government of the Republic Decree No 84 of 20.06.2011 § 9).
