The tasks of a social worker are:

1. Supporting the socio-emotional adaptation of the pupil in school and kindergarten.
2. Participation in the network of support and, if necessary, involvement of other support professionals.
3. Helping pupils to develop their communication skills and social competence.
4. Establishing a joint approach between the family and the school to promote the child's social development and motivation to learn.
5. Guiding and counselling teachers and parents in the design of an appropriate learning and developmental environment and in the implementation of interventions that support the pupil.
6. Cooperating with child protection, police and other partners to help children in need.
7. Participating in the school's school council.
8. Contributing to the development of the school through various projects and joint work.
9. Carrying out duties in all the places of activity of Lääneranna Gümnaasiumi

• Higher education and/or professional qualification as a social pedagogue (qualification may be in progress).
• Preferably professional school experience.
• Willingness to get involved in various projects and take the initiative.
• Open-minded and cooperative.
• An attitude that the pupil is the most important person in school.
