Bauroc AS is the largest manufacturer of aerated concrete products in Northern Europe. Autoclaved aerated concrete - internationally known as AAC - is a lightweight and strong aggregate based on a porous mineral raw material, which is produced by a manufacturing process involving autoclaving. 2023. the year 2007 marked 100 years since the invention of aerated concrete in Sweden.

Bauroc operates state-of-the-art plants for porous concrete products in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, a plant for silicate products - internationally known as calcium silicate units or CSU for short - in Lithuania, and a sales company in Finland. The company sells its products in the Baltic and Nordic countries, Iceland, Poland, Germany and Switzerland under the trademarks "bauroc" and "roclite". Its silicate products, which include both blocks and bricks, are sold under the brand name 'silroc'.

A wide range of porous concrete products, including various block products, reinforced bridges, ceiling and wall panels, and installation adhesives and accessories, are used in all types of construction, from private houses to multi-storey residential, office, agricultural and industrial buildings. Silicate products are a good complement to aerated concrete thanks to their high load-bearing capacity and good sound absorption properties.
