Ralf-Martin Soe

Ralf-Martin Soe is the head of TalTech's Smart City Center of Excellence. He earned his masters degree in Economics and Public Administration at Maastricht University and his Phd in technology management at TalTech.

At the beginning of 2020 TalTech in cooperation with Aalto University started the Smart City Center of Excellence, where scientists from both universities will start many different smart city pilot programs. All ready next year a 15mil euro smart city pilot program will start, which aims to test ideas with high potential in Estonian cities including the construction sector. BuildIT 2020 is happening for the 7th time and is a yearly international event which involves conference and competition days.

The topic for conference day is “Future of the city'' focusing on topics like transportation, construction and sustainability of the environment.

Competition Day 15th Oct

Competitions will be held for people to test their knowledge and participate in various workshops and competitions.

The competitions are open for everyone! Each competition requires different skills and a whole new mindset. There are no age restrictions.
