Sebastian Heinzel

Sebastian Heinzel is the CEO of Heinzel Group, which is the owner of Estonian Cell. Heinzel Group is one of Central Europe’s largest companies in the pulp and paper industry, with factories in both Austria and Estonia, and a large pulp and paper trading division. The group employs close to 2.500 people with a turnover of €2.2bn in 2024. Heinzel Group pursues a comprehensive sustainability strategy and has committed, among other things, to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. Before joining the family business, Sebastian Heinzel (47) worked as an international journalist and later as an internet startup entrepreneur. He studied economics and political science.
