Make-up oil: the most effective skin care product

Make-up oil, face oil or body oil are no longer at all uncommon products on our shop shelves. The oil moisturises the skin, keeps it elastic and strengthens its natural functions. Dry skin is never more problem. But what should you know about oils in the field of natural cosmetics?
Why choose cold-pressed oil for skin care?
While labels such as "organic" and "eco" on products refer to the cultivation of ingredients and are already familiar to us, "cold-pressed" or "unrefined" refers to the processing of the oil. There are usually two main ways of extracting oil from raw nuts and seeds: by heat treatment or chemical solvents, resulting in refined oil. Both methods actually lower the quality of the oil by reducing the natural vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids. Think of the process as cooking, because even if you start with a super-healthy vegetable, the nutritional value of that vegetable is significantly reduced when it is heat-treated
The moment the oils are cold pressed, they are extracted by mechanical methods rather than heat or solvents. Cold pressing compresses the ingredient until the oil is extracted, which is then filtered. As a result, very little processing of the ingredients takes place and the nutrients are retained many times better
Studies have confirmed that cold-pressed, or unrefined, oil contains more antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E than refined oil, which in turn provides greater protection for the skin. Cold-pressed oils have a naturally longer shelf life and can often do without synthetic preservatives. All in all, cold-pressing offers a clean, strong and highly effective product.
Heating or the use of chemical solvents, i.e. further purification of the oil, yields a higher quantity of oil. Basically, these methods require less effort, less money and less material, and at the same time produce more oil. It is true that this results in less valuable oil, but many producers are happy with this trade-off because the profit comes more easily.
Refined oil is also often used in the beauty industry because it loses its natural, strong fragrance and you can conveniently add whatever you need.

Make-up remover oil - the most effective skin care product
The environment, harmful substances, stress, diet and lifestyle have a huge impact on the way our skin feels and on us as a whole. The word 'make-up oil' is bound to scare many people off, as our skin is already oily. This is where the principle of similarity comes into play.
After years of using oil in my skincare routine and learning about the delights of the plant world, my heart immediately sang that plants should definitely be added to oil. The effect is many times stronger and the body happier.
Clensik is the first herbal makeup oil in Estonia. Applied to the face with a cotton pad, this oil removes make-up particles from foundation to eye shadow. Of course, it's a good idea to wet your face first. Best of all, there's no need to apply anything else to your face. Oil moisturises instead of cream. A more minimalist, healthier and more natural way of life
There is no need to be afraid of medicinal herbs or to think that they are only medicinal herbs. A medicinal plant is a living organism that has evolved over time to have substances that affect the human body in a positive way (Paju and Tamkivi, 1992). We are surrounded by what we need to live.
Why is olive oil particularly valuable?
The simple reason is that olive oil has been used since time immemorial, so there has been a lot of research into its effects. The ancient Greek physician Hippocrates identified olive oil as one of more than 60 miraculous substances with therapeutic properties. Olive oil and the vitamin E it contains are known to firm and trim the skin. Antioxidants stimulate and regenerate cells, resulting in healthier, more youthful skin. Olive oil is also, contrary to popular belief, a balancer for oily skin, as it calms the sebaceous glands and balances oil production.
What makes it difficult to find your way around the world of oils is that none of the skincare products are labelled as to which press olive, almond or jojoba oil has been used, as there is no need to indicate the press. However, everyone always refers to the benefits of the oil used in the product description, in the case of a refined oil, the product does not in fact have the hoped-for benefits that were supposedly promised.
Always double check or otherwise try to ascertain whether your favourite brand of skincare product contains cold-pressed (first-press) oil, because you want to put only the best on your skin.
