Noblessner Foundry - Peetri 10, 10411 Tallinn, Estonia

The foundry is the largest of Noblessner's historic shipyard industrial buildings. The non-ferrous foundry was actually only located in the smaller rear part of the building, the large hall was used as a shipbuilding workshop. The building was completed in 1914.

Today, the foundry is undoubtedly Noblessner's most famous historic industrial building. Thanks to the architecture of its time, it has unique acoustics. Over the past decade, the building has hosted a number of world-class concerts and recordings, performed all of Arvo Pärt's and Heino Eller's symphonies and staged numerous performances.

The very first concert took place under the direction of conductor Tõnu Kaljuste at the Noblessner Foundry on 23 August 2009 - a performance of Lera Auerbach's great work "Russian Requiem". The audience of a thousand was brought by sea, as there was no other way to get to Noblessner at the time.

After more than a year of renovations, the foundry will be home to the PROTO Discovery Factory, a community centre since autumn 2019. The Nobel Hall is located at the rear of the building and is ideal for corporate and cultural events.
