Location of the fair stand in the OnlineExpo environment

Your success at the fair can be heavily influenced by the location of the stand in virtual halls, as in, how much it stands out among many others. If you have decided to take part in a virtual fair and know what goals you want to reach there, then you should find the best place for the stand in the fair centre. The earlier you register for the fair, the wider the selection of location and the better the opportunity to get the desired spot. The selection of packages is directly related to the selection of location. It is important to understand that an online fair somewhat differs from an offline fair, locations are virtual at an online fair and you can get to a stand from several different places, all of which required some activities or support of a purchased package.

Location and openness of the stand in the environment

• Exhibition halls – virtual fairs have a large number of participants and in exhibition halls, exhibitors are divided into various halls or topic areas based on product. Structured placement is used even at fairs with a very narrow sector. At such fairs, we recommend using several fair stands with diffrent design in different topic areas, in order to be precisely where visitors in your target group have the best chance of finding you.

• Visibility in a search – to better find a fair stand, OnlineExpo environment has created the opportunity to tag all modules used. The number of tags per module is not limited. It is important to find keywords which people may use to find the desired information (it pays to also use misspellings if it’s known that a visitor can find the way to your stand this way).

• Access opportunities of visitors to your stand, or the openness of the stand to the environment – when selecting the location, you should ask the organizers of the fair what the current experience is and find out how the virtual movement of visitors happens at the specific fair.

- The visitor makes the first choice on the frontpage or Welcome page of the fair, which works similar to the fair card of offline fairs.

- After ending up at the first stand, the simplest logic is the visitor moving along a “walkway” from stand to stand in the order of ranking numbers of the stand, which is the order of registration.

- It pays to keep an eye on the “highways” of moving in the fair centre and whether your package allows using them or whether you have to do something yourself in order to be present at a “highway”. The main highways are: highlighted stands, who are the members of the premium package, active stands, highly rated stands, popular stands and representation in the overviewer’s activities. The last four highways no longer depend on the package purchased, their representation is determined by the team of the fair stall.

- Each notable activity is covered in the overviewer. Grouping several consecutive activities is provided to decrease load on the overviewer to be displayed in the overviewer report. Each news banner displayed by the overviewer is a hotlink to the next stand.

- Visitors can also move from stand to stand by selecting and clicking product promotions or offers in the Bazaar.

Possible preferred locations

  • on the frontpage of the fair, in the first divisions of the Welcome page;
  • in the entries to exhibition halls, in the first divisions of frontpages of halls. The options of packages must be taken into account – more expensive packages are displayed in first order;
  • as early as possible on the walkway – book early to get a better ranking number;
  • presence in several halls with different stands notably increases noticeability;
  • on main highways. Here it is important to use the activity and creativity of the team of the stand owner – the more activities and visitors, the earlier you are displayed at the highway before others;
  • presence among activities of the overviewer – activity also counts here;
  • presence at the bazaar – the more offers, the more noticeable you are;
  • presence in the search through skilfully selected keywords.
