PLEASE DISTURB! Hotels, restaurants and specialised schools are holding an open week.

18.for the second time, the Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association (EHRL) is organising a week of "Please mix!" on April 22-22 to introduce working and career opportunities in the hospitality sector. Registration for youth groups for excursions to hotels, restaurants, spas and specialised schools in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Haapsalu, Kuressaare and Viljandi can be found at The event is free of charge!

The campaign is aimed at young people who are in the process of deciding on their future studies and careers and want to get more information and perhaps first-hand experience of different fields - hotels and restaurants are offering this opportunity as part of the campaign and will open their doors to all comers. Hour-long tours will introduce young people to the back rooms, kitchens and back of the curtains of businesses - giving them an insight into the companies, but also into the wider sector. During the guided tours there will be a variety of workshops, quizzes and games. Killu Maidla, CEO of EHRL, points out that the sector needs more new actors and future leaders. Now is a good time to get started and gain some experience - it will also help you to decide whether or not the field, which we also call the hospitality business, is close to your heart. The tours will showcase our apprenticeship opportunities, the way we organise our businesses and the summer jobs that are already on offer, which could be a good way for young people to get their first work experience during the school holidays.

27 companies from all over Estonia have joined the campaign. They include specialised schools, 5-star upscale hotels, top Estonian restaurants and new and exciting hotels.

The tours are particularly open to all students and their tutors from primary, secondary and vocational schools, but not only - anyone who wants to learn more about the business of hospitality can take part. Participation is open to individuals and groups.

The campaign is free of charge, but pre-registration for the tours is required
