Maarja Ojamaa

Maarja Ojamaa is an Associate Professor of Semiotics at the University of Tartu, where she leads the Transmedia Research Group within the Department of Semiotics. Her work explores the dynamics of learning and teaching culture in the digital era, including the role that digital archives play within it.  She is also a co-author of the monograph On the Digital Semiosphere: Culture, Media and Science for the Anthropocene (with John Hartley and Indrek Ibrus).
