The vision of our school
By using current knowledge and new methods, we strive to improve education. We develop the talents and strengths of students so that they can find the best possible use in their future lives. We perceive changes as stimuli for continuous development and strengthening the important ability to adapt. Ecological principles and sustainability are a challenge for us to manage even better. ZŠ Bratrství operates in the Podhostýn region and is open to all pupils in the region.

School education program for basic education - School of understanding

It emphasizes the increased share of active involvement of pupils in learning and the application of activity methods in acquiring knowledge. It highlights the path and resources to gain knowledge through discovery and problem solving. It places increased demands on the way of thinking and retention of knowledge with understanding and application (as opposed to mere memorization). It develops cooperation, on which the success of the result as a whole depends, and strengthens the role of individual responsibility.

Focus of the school

extended teaching of foreign languages ​​- teaching using the CLIL method from the first year of the school year 2018/19, English language teaching is included for all pupils from the 1st grade, another foreign language from the 7th grade (optionally German and Russian), optional conversation seminars in English from the 6th grade, classes with preparation for exams of certified knowledge of the English language from the 4th grade
environmental and ecological education
extended offer of sports activities, cycling courses from the 6th grade, skiing and snowboarding courses in the 7th, 8th and 9th grades
personality and social education, development of personal responsibility in relation to the support of one's own health, movement and safety
caring for talented students
 

School counseling center (school psychologist, educational counselor, prevention methodologist)
