Call for Abstracts opens: March 16, 2026

Abstract Formats invited: 

  • Oral Presentations (15 minutes plus 5 minutes Q&A),
  • Poster Presentations (Academic Poster, A0 Size Format - 841 x 1189 mm),  
  • Workshop Session (1 - 1.5 hours for 12 - 25 participants)

Oral presentation and paper publication:

For Oral Presentations accepted. There is a possibility to publish an article in the Conference proceedings: (tick in the box while applying).

Criteria for the publication of a full paper in Conference proceedings: maximum length of full paper is 5 pages (including references). A template for the full paper will be provided with notice of abstract acceptance.

Following the Conference, authors who have had a full paper accepted for publication in the conference proceedings may be invited to submit an extended version of the accepted paper to be published in a peer-reviewed journal special issue. 

Explanations:

The SHAREE Conference scientific committee invites contributions that support learning and transformation toward sustainable futures. We invite contributions from the broad fields of Education, Home Economics and STEAM disciplines crossing disciplinary boundaries under the following sub-themes (please select up to two the following):

  • STEAM
    • This sub-theme invites contributions on STEAM education that examine pedagogical approaches, learning environments, and practices integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, particularly in relation to real-life contexts and sustainability.
  • Home Economics 
    • This sub-theme highlights Home Economics a field addressing everyday practices, wellbeing, and sustainability, food, consumption, housing, craft, family and care. Contributions may emphasise the discipline broadly, or teaching practices/projects that support interdisciplinarity, sustainable futures and agency.
  • Education - Early years, Primary, Secondary Education 
    • This sub-theme focuses on education and teaching in early childhood, primary, and secondary education. Submissions may examine age-appropriate pedagogies and classroom practices focused on / integrating Home Economics, STEAM, and sustainability.
    • Abstracts may relate to inclusivity in education, focusing on equity, diversity, and participation. Contributions may explore inclusive pedagogies and practices that support diverse learners within Home Economics, STEAM, and/or interdisciplinary contexts.
  • Education - Teacher Education, Higher Education, Vocational Education 
    • This sub-theme invites contributions related to teacher education, higher education, and vocational education. Papers may explore pedagogical innovation, curriculum development, and professional learning focused on / integrating Home Economics, STEAM, and sustainability.
  • EU / Policy / Partnerships / Co-operation projects
    • This sub-theme focuses on EU-funded initiatives, policy-driven projects, and national or international partnerships in the field of education. Contributions may examine policy frameworks, collaborative practices, and project-based approaches that support sustainable futures.
