Adam Kopecký
Adam Kopecký, MD, PhD, FEBO, FEBOS-OPL is an ophthalmologist with subspecialty expertise in oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Palacký University Olomouc in 2013 and completed his ophthalmology training at the Ophthalmology Clinic of University Hospital Ostrava, where he has worked since graduation. In 2019, he was appointed Assistant Professor, combining clinical practice with teaching and research.
Dr Kopecký obtained the Fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) in 2018, completed his national specialization in ophthalmology the same year, and earned a PhD from Charles University in Prague in 2019. In 2023, he successfully passed the FEBOS-OPL subspecialty examination in oculoplastic surgery and is a full member of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS).
In recent years, his professional development has focused on advanced oculoplastic and aesthetic training at leading international centers, including observerships at UCLA in Los Angeles, participation in the Aesthetic Eyelid and Facial Rejuvenation Course at UCLA, repeated observerships at the Eye Centre Cologne, and training at Hong Kong Eye Hospital. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Kopecký remains actively involved in undergraduate medical education, with teaching focused on periocular anatomy and anterior segment diseases, and he serves as co-organizer of the ESOPRS 2025 meeting in Prague.
