Demo Social Democratic Party

It is probably the Social Democratic Party that can lay claim to the title of the longest continuously operating political party in Estonia. After all, the Social Democratic movement was born in the revolutionary year of 1905. In 1919, the social parties of the time took as many as three-quarters of the seats in the elections to the Constituent Assembly. It should be noted that the Estonian Social Democrats were already members of the Socialist International before the Second World War and their membership was restored after Estonia regained its independence.
