The book"My Mother is an Angel" was created especially for children themselves who need help and support in coping with a difficult loss. At the same time, each child's personal grief also touches all the other children around them who need an explanation for the sad situation they are in.
My book describes the life of a child with an imaginary mother who is an angel. A child who is grieving for her mother needs developmentally to continue her internal communication with her mother, which has been interrupted or disrupted by grief. The book can therefore become a tool for the child to understand the separation between him or herself and the mother, while not forgetting that the absence of the mother does not mean that the mother cannot continue to live in the child's inner world and support him or her. Helen's thoughts and guidance are inspired by the illustrations of Monica Meius and the poetry of Jarek Kasar.
