Jens Grøndahl

Born in Oslo in 1969, Jens Grøndahl earned a Master’s degree in the History of Norwegian Foreign Policy in 1996 before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1999. He served in key diplomatic roles abroad, including Deputy Head of Mission in Abuja and Zagreb, and later as Ambassador to Kosovo and Albania from 2019.

He also held senior leadership positions in Oslo, including Director roles in multiple departments and Deputy Director for Europe. Since 2024, he has served as Senior Adviser, most recently in the Department for Security Policy (2026), contributing to Norway’s strategic foreign and security policy work.
