- Helena Tuuri
Ambassador Helena Tuuri is a Finnish diplomat with a law degree from the University of Helsinki and an extensive career in international affairs.
The majority of her career has been devoted to EU affairs. She has worked on these issues in various capacities at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, at Permanent Representation in Brussels, in the National Parliament, as well as in the Prime Minister’s Office as Deputy Secretary of State for EU Affairs.
Most recently, Helena Tuuri has focused on cooperation in the Baltic Sea region. She serves as Finland’s National Coordinator for the EUSBSR and represents Finland on the Committee of Senior Officials of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS). She is also the author of an article on the EUSBSR, published in the 2023 book The EU and the Baltic Sea Area (Bloomsbury Publishing, ISBN 8781509956241).
