Dr. Sarath Guttikunda

Dr. Sarath Guttikunda is an atmospheric scientist and founder/director of UrbanEmissions.Info. His research group focuses on air quality modeling and policy in developing regions. Trained as a chemical engineer , he created the SIM-air tools for emissions and pollution analysis. His work spans source apportionment, forecasting, and health impacts of air pollution. He has advised organizations like Clean Air Asia and WHO, contributed to India’s Air Quality Index design, and in 2022 received the AGU International Award for advancing science–policy dialogue on clean air.
