Valérie Fontaine

Specialised in Human Rights, Valérie FONTAINE is currently the Defender of Rights’ Adviser for Partnerships. The French Defender of Rights, independent public institution, has 5 main missions from which the fight against discrimination. Valérie Fontaine has been a board member of Equinet, the European Network of national equality bodies, from 2017 to 2023 and is now the moderator of Equinet AI working group.  Among other projects, she tries to build bridges on the impact of artificial intelligence on fundamental rights with different stakeholders at national and international level.
