- Dr Dan Bogdanov
Dr Dan Bogdanov recognized the seriousness of information security and data protection challenges while working on the development of information systems for the Estonian Genome Centre during his university studies. This experience inspired him to pursue research in cryptography and to seek technological solutions to data protection challenges. His research has focused on technologies that safeguard the data of individuals and organizations in data processing and artificial intelligence systems. He has been bringing this research into practice for the past 18 years at Cybernetica, where he currently leads the Institute of Information Security, collaborating with partners across Europe, the United States and Estonia. Dr Bogdanov is a member of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, where he chairs the Standing Committee on Cyber Security.
