Agris Bitāns

Agris Bitāns is Attorney at Law and Managing partner of Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns law firm in Latvia. He has more than 25 years of experience practicing IP law and is highly regarded as one of the leading lawyers in the field – particularly with respect to IP litigation. He is well known for having successfully represented clients in pioneering cases that have established binding legal precedents in IPR.

Agris represents clients in disputes covering a broad range of IP law matters, involving trademarks, designs, patents, copyright and neighbouring rights, protection of confidential information and unfair competition-related issues, and others.

Agris is President of AIPPI Latvian National Group since 2005. He had provided several presentation regarding IPR, including at AIPPI conferences, and also moderated several panels during AIPPI events.
