Agris Batalauskis

Agris Batalauskis has been the Director of the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia since February 1, 2022. He is a qualified Latvian lawyer and senior civil servant who has worked in the governmental authorities since 2007. Over the past decade, he has been at the forefront of numerous innovation reforms within the national justice sector. That approach has also translated to the responsibilities as a Director of the Patent Office, where in the recent years he has strived to enhance and transform the Latvian intellectual property system and is committed to modernize the Patent Office as a customer-centric hub for intellectual property, as well as to strengthening the Latvia's intellectual property ecosystem as a whole.
